RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Maintain 5:1 patient ratio on a 24-bed surgical/telemetry unit

• Required certifications: ACLS (RN), NIH (RN), BLS (all staff)

• Cardiac/telemetry experience and/or surgical experience preferred

• Work with telemetry monitoring and post-operative monitoring equipment

• EMR system:
Meditech

• Provide post-operative recovery care for surgical and cath lab patients

• Manage variety of patient population including elective orthopedic, spine, and GYN surgeries

• Care for elective cath lab procedures (post PCI, pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion)

• Handle stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, respiratory failure patients

• Manage set rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin)

• Work in brand new state-of-the-art unit with ADA/bariatric rooms

• Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance

• Must have friendly, outgoing personality and strong multi-tasking abilities

• Unit can have high patient turnover with occasional high discharge/admit days
