You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the roleThe Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The role reports to the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) for operational guidance and to the Center Physician for medical issues. The Specialist must be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment, and follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and provide center-level environmental, health and safety (EHS) support.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self‑exclusion.
- Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinating transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and for medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and decide if further occupational health evaluation is needed.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalency of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of employment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
- Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location:
USA – CO – Thornton
Hourly wage range: $35.28 – $48.51
Actual wage varies by qualifications and experience.
- Eligible for short‑term incentives.
