Maintenance Technician (B2: Weekend Nights)
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility systems. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include completing routine inspections, responding to equipment breakdowns, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, inspect, and repair complex interrelated process machinery in a sanitary food manufacturing environment.
- Train other non-maintenance technical operators on basic troubleshooting activities.
- Provide preventative maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities with mechanical, pneumatic, steam, and basic electrical skills.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to maintain production equipment in a safe working condition.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and good manufacturing practices.
- Follow SQF standards and use of appropriate PPE and meet all EH&S requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Maintenance and food manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical intuition and proficiency with hand tools and repair techniques.
- Ability to work at height with proper fall protection equipment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload efficiently with and without assistance and oversight.
- Ability to work in a wide range of environments, including temperature variations, with proper PPE and safe practices when required.
- Basic math and computer skills including email, and ability to use computer-based maintenance work order scheduling systems and reporting.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn, and walk; sufficient mobility and dexterity to safely use hand and power tools.

Weekend Nights:
Friday - Sunday, Every other Thursday, 6:00pm – 6:30am
Compensation: The starting wage for this role is $32.00 - $36.00 hourly, with actual compensation based on skills, experience, and location. This shift includes a $2.00 per hour shift differential.
