Overview
Inte Pros is seeking a hands-on Telecommunications Technician to support a large-scale VoIP environment as part of an Infrastructure Operations team. This position plays a critical role in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting voice systems across multiple sites. The technician will work extensively in MDF/IDF environments, support VoIP and analog-based services, and ensure stable, reliable communication systems throughout the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys field work, systematic problem-solving, and working directly with enterprise telecommunications infrastructure. Strong documentation habits, clear communication, and comfort working across both technical and physical site environments are key to success.
This is a bond-funded, temporary contract running through October 2026
, with the possibility of extension. The contract may be ended at any time at the client’s discretion. The project itself is expected to sunset no later than 2029.
Key Responsibilities
- VoIP System Support –
- Support and troubleshoot Mitel VoIP endpoints and associated services.
- Perform basic telephone station troubleshooting and testing.
- Provide voicemail system support and assist with analog line issues.
- Infrastructure & Equipment Work –
- Work within MDF/IDF spaces to install, replace, and configure voice-related equipment.
- Support UPS units and additional infrastructure components related to VoIP systems.
- Perform onsite field work across various locations as needed.
- Operational Coordination –
- Collaborate closely with network and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and maintain system stability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Experience supporting enterprise VoIP systems (Mitel preferred but not required).
- Working knowledge of cabling and network infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience in MDF/IDF environments.
- Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and replace telecommunications devices.
- Strong documentation practices and clear communication skills.
- VoIP System Experience – Supporting and troubleshooting enterprise voice systems.
- MDF/IDF & Field Work Expertise – Comfortable working onsite with equipment installs, replacements, and testing.
- Cabling & Network Infrastructure Knowledge – Understanding of structured cabling and related network environments.
