Occupational Therapist PRN – North Suburban Medical Center

Hourly Wage Estimate: $43.23 - $64.85 / hour

Location: North Suburban Medical Center (Mountain Ridge), Denver metropolitan area, Colorado.

The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients, coordinating with physicians and the patient care team. Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and delivering rehabilitative therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.

• Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
• Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status; participate in patient placement and total plan of care development.
• Provide purposeful and skilled interaction care; use procedures and techniques to produce improvements in condition/function consistent with physician’s plan.
• Observe and report patient reaction to treatment and changes in condition.
• Communicate payor needs/requirements to physician, treatment team, patient and family in a timely manner.
• Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited school with a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Maintains current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Maintains active Occupational Therapy Certification in the State of Colorado.
• Maintains current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
• Successful completion of a student clinical rotation or work experience in at least one of the following settings: acute care hospital, long‑term acute care facility, skilled nursing facility, or acute rehabilitation setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT), or equivalent Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
• National Certified Occupational Therapist (NBCOT).
