Job Overview

Senior Helpers, a leader in providing in‑home senior care services, is seeking a dedicated & compassionate Part‑time Caregiver for two clients in Thornton and surrounding areas. This role requires hands‑on personal care for both male and female clients, including bathroom and shower assistance. The position is primarily a personal care role and will provide companionship to improve clients’ overall quality of life.

It is a part‑time position working directly with clients in their homes. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license on your insurance are required.

Areas served:
Broomfield, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Northglenn, Wheat Ridge, Lafayette, Aurora, Commerce City, Denver.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a PART‑TIME, hourly position with a competitive pay rate starting at $25.00 per hour, based on experience. Pay will be distributed biweekly. In addition, employees will have access to benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
  • MUST be comfortable providing personal care for both male and female clients.
  • Help remind clients to take prescribed medication according to their physician’s instructions.
  • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients.
  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks (taking out the trash, dishes, laundry, sweeping/vacuuming).
  • Assisting the client with transfers, ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor appointments, walks, etc.).
  • Monitor and report any changes in client’s health or behavior to the caregiver supervisor.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Attend ongoing training/development programs to enhance caregiving skills.
  • Must be comfortable providing personal care (including toileting and bathing) to clients of all genders.
Requirements
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care and homemaking tasks.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.
Experience
