Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project & Billing Staff Accountant to support accounting operations for a growing organization delivering large-scale, multi-phase construction and project-based work. This role is ideal for a hands-on accountant who understands job costing, billing, and month-end close in a project-driven environment and wants room to grow in a collaborative setting.
Project & Billing Staff Accountant – Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $70,000–$85,000 base (flexibility at the top end for a candidate who brings strong project accounting experience)

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or similar
3–5+ years of accounting experience in a project-driven environment supporting large-scale, multi-phase projects
Hands-on experience with job costing, WIP, and cost-based percentage-of-completion
Experience with billing and accounts receivable tied to active projects
Ability to manage month-end close activities for an assigned scope, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals, including debits and credits
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Quick Books experience required
Ability to partner effectively with operations, field team, and AP teams to gather information and meet billing and close deadlines
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to review and correct one’s own work

Experience working closely with operations or field teams in a project environment
Exposure to sales tax and payroll accounting
Interest in long-term growth into expanded regional responsibility or supervisory roles
