Care at Home Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support care workers to ensure safe, effective, and person‑centred care
• Conduct regular spot checks and home visits to monitor care quality
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are accurate, up to date, and followed
• Respond to concerns, incidents, complaints, and safeguarding issues appropriately
• Promote dignity, respect, choice, and independence at all times
• Carry out staff inductions, shadowing, and ongoing supervision
• Support staff performance through feedback, coaching, and appraisals
• Identify training needs and support professional development
• Participate in staff recruitment and retention activities
• Provide on‑call support as required - 2 weekends per month
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and care standards
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
• Monitor medication management and ensure safe practices
• Support audits and inspections as required
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed
