JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The Laser Operator is committed to:
- defect free and on time at the lowest cost possible for our customer
- prevent exposures and reduce waste at the lowest cost possible for our environment
Report to Dept Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):- Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
- Execute proper start-up and shut-down of machine.
- Run laser to planned arrangements.
- Evaluate, correct, and take actions necessary to prevent external quality (size & defects) issues.
- Always Work responsibly and safely.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform additional activities of execution as required
- Participate in the plan to organize, control and maintain the work environment
Obtain a score of 100% on general shop assessment within 1 week of job placement.
EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE:
Related experience and/or training preferred
Pay scale $19-$22 BOE
