- Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise applications and relational databases, including root‑cause analysis of application defects, SQL errors, and data integrity issues, and deploy functional enhancements
- Elicit and translate business and functional requirements into detailed system architecture, data specifications, and technical documentation
- Design, develop, and optimize database schemas, views, stored procedures, and reporting structures to support analytics and operational reporting
- Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models in line with enterprise data architecture standards
- Execute and support application patching, version upgrades, and database migrations, ensuring data consistency and minimal downtime
- Administer application and database access controls, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies
- Perform unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate functionality, performance, and release readiness
- Monitor database health and performance, analyze query execution plans, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning and optimisation techniques
- Lead and support IT audits, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning (BCP) activities
- Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, security standards, and best practices, and provide backup support for core IT system operations
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on experience in application and database systems
- Strong proficiency in MS SQL databases, scripting languages, database design, data modelling, and query performance optimisation
- Experience with SICS and SAP Business Intelligence is highly preferred
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team
