Position: Quantity Surveyor Main Contractor 5 days' work week

Job Summary

Support the tendering process by preparing and submitting accurate quotations, managing supplier negotiations, and overseeing contract administration to ensure timely project delivery and financial accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit tender quotations within established timelines to support successful project bids
  • Perform quantity take-offs through manual measurement and update tender amendments to maintain accurate cost estimates
  • Source quotations for rates and technical data tailored to specific project requirements during tender stages
  • Arrange and conduct tender interviews to evaluate suppliers and subcontractors effectively
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive and fair contract terms
  • Prepare sub-contract agreements and letters of award to formalize supplier and subcontractor engagements
  • Monitor progress claims, payments, certifications, variation order (VO) submissions, and subcontractor payments to ensure financial control and compliance
  • Assist in settling final accounts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors by coordinating documentation and resolving discrepancies
Required competencies and certifications
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office and measurement software to support accurate tender preparation and project tracking
