Field service technician

Höcker Polytechnik is a leading German manufacturer of dust-extraction and material-handling systems, known for precision engineering and innovative industrial solutions. We're launching our new U.S. facility in Thomasville, NC, and seeking skilled technicians to help establish our North American operations and set new customer service standards.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the face of Höcker Polytechnik in North America. You ll install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot our industrial systems at customer sites across the U.S. and Canada.

• Startup and maintain dust-extraction systems and related equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or control-system issues and perform repairs
• Provide remote and on-site customer support, including spare parts guidance
• Educate customers on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting techniques

You bring technical training or hands-on experience in industrial service or maintenance, enjoy working independently in the field, and are comfortable troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Technical certification or associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a similar trade
• Valid driver’s license required
• Minimum 2 years in field service, maintenance, or industrial technical support
• Solid mechanical, electrical and IT systems troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently in the field and represent the company professionally
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. and occasionally Canada, including overnight stays

• Experience with dust filtration, scrap handling, or recycling equipment
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and service software systems (SIEMENS) is a plus
• PLC/control system knowledge
• Welding or fabrication skills
