Position: (USA) Front End Coach

Front End Coach (USA) at Walmart

Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives effectively.
  • Models exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and supporting customer service initiatives.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process‑improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience.
  • Drives financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Manages inventory flow and operational processes, develops mitigation plans for shrink, and ensures sales and profit goals are met.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, creating clear expectations, and recognizing achievements.
  • Coordinates job‑related activities and builds relationships with key stakeholders to support initiatives that meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, supports mission values, and promotes a culture of belonging and integrity.
  • Builds high‑performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel supported, connected, and empowered.
  • Acts with integrity, promotes transparency, and contributes to Walmart’s regenerative goals by supporting sustainability and community outreach.
  • Delivers customer‑first results, makes data‑driven decisions, balances short‑ and long‑term priorities, and supports the growth of the organization.
  • Encourages continuous learning, embraces new technologies, and supports others through change.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of college, OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For firearms‑selling facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For ammunition‑selling facilities: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility (if required).
  • All applicants must complete required training and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and terminating staff.
