Overview
Quanex is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team located in Thomasville, NC
. The Quality Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by performing inspections, tests, and audits to ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications. The schedule is Mon-Thurs 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

- Knowledgeable and motivated team members
- Perform destructive and nondestructive testing and measurements of parts to ascertain conformance of specification
- Train production employees on Quality Standards and Measurement Methods
- Audit in-process injection molding machines for conformance to specifications
- Enter/update data, and create reports to run regularly (weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Analyze and interpret statistical data to evaluate the performance of injection molding machines
- Assist in the calibration of basic inspection hand tools.
- Identify defects and nonconforming material.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action activities
- Communicate quality concerns to supervisors, operators and management.
- Participate in process audits, product audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or related field
The hourly wage starts at $18.00/hr.
