We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and administrative operations. This role is responsible for processing purchase orders, updating our EPR system, coordinating with vendors and teams internally, tracking deliveries, and providing general office support. This person will also be working closely with the buyer on projects aimed at improving inventory turns, sales materials, and reporting.

The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with numbers, ERP, and Microsoft systems, and vendor communications.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, order status, deliveries, and discrepancies
  • Track open orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and receiving documents
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Assist with inventory tracking and reporting
  • Support the purchasing team with administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide general office and administrative support, including data entry and filing
  • Working with the buyer on projects aimed at improving sales materials and inventory reporting
Background/Required Experience
  • Associate’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of office, administrative, or purchasing support experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and efficiently prioritize requests
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with purchasing or accounting software is a plus
  • ERP experience is a plus
