Industrial Electrician

Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components in a manufacturing environment. This role requires in-depth NEC knowledge, experience with wiring and conduit, and skill in interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Job Location:

Thomasville, GA

Essential functions:

* Perform expert-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on facility electrical systems, including high-voltage components, control panels, switch gear, production machinery wiring, and feeder circuits.

* Conduct system upgrades, including the replacement of outdated electrical components and wiring to meet NEC standards and enhance facility efficiency.

* Analyze electrical issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future problems, with minimal guidance or oversight.

* Complete installation of new electrical systems and components, including reading and interpreting complex blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.

* Coordinate and order parts for electrical repairs and installations, maintaining an organized inventory of critical electrical components.

* Perform periodic inspections of electrical systems, documenting findings, and recommending preventative measures to ensure continued safe operation.

* Troubleshoot and repair specialized electrical issues on welding and other critical equipment with high precision.

* Adhere strictly to NEC, OSHA, and company-specific safety protocols, and maintain compliance with Nebraska state regulations for electrical work.

Other Duties:

* Support facility maintenance projects requiring electrical expertise.

* Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Requirements:

Education:

* High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training in industrial or commercial electrical work is highly valued.

Experience:

* Experience:

5+ years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical work, with a primary focus on electrical installations, troubleshooting, and high-voltage systems.

* Licensing:
Must hold a current Journeyman Electrician License in Nebraska.

Environmental and

Physical Requirements:

* Safely lift and carry up to 80 lbs.

* Work up to 12 hours on hard surfaces, including standing and walking.

* Engage in activities such as bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, stretching, stooping, squatting, and climbing.

* Work at heights up to 30 feet.

* Tolerate temperature fluctuations matching the ambient environment.

* Exposure to noise, dust, welding fumes, and machine lubricants.

* Proper use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, hard hats, and fall protection) is mandatory.
