Overview
CT Technologist- CT Scanner. Ability to provide diagnostic x-rays for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Maintains good communication skills and the ability to produce examinations according to diagnostic and safety protocols for age groups. Maintains infection control procedures for age groups. Prepares and administers contrast media for age groups. Operation and use of pre- and post-examination equipment. Scheduling responsibilities. Maintain current hospital and/or department policies.
Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic x-rays for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Maintain communication skills with patients and staff.
- Produce examinations according to diagnostic and safety protocols for age groups.
- Maintain infection control procedures for age groups.
- Prepare and administer contrast media for age groups.
- Operate and use pre- and post-examination equipment.
- Scheduling responsibilities.
- Maintain current hospital and/or department policies.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school and meet requirements for registry by the ARRT.
- Must be registered or, if recent graduate, must pass registry.
- Six months of CT/Radiology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the performance of all routine exams and familiarity with all special exams in all patient categories (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
- BCLS certification required.
- Interpersonal skills are required; verbal and written communication skills are required.
