Patient Care Technician / CNA – 6 North (Med/Surg)
Join Archbold Medical Center to provide compassionate patient care as a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities- Assist RN’s and LPN’s with meeting the needs of hospitalized patients or nursing home residents
- Actively participate in nursing reports by receiving and contributing to status reports of patients
- Provide complete and thorough personal care for patients
- Take and accurately record vital signs
- Assist and accompany the patient in the admission, transfer and discharge process while assuring comfort and safety
- Promptly and consistently respond to patient's needs and to needs of family members
- Complete housekeeping responsibilities such as utility rooms and diet kitchen as needed
- Assist with ADL’s – personal care, feeding, bathing, and dressing
- Provide support to patients and family members
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous patient care experience in hospital setting preferred
- CNA certification preferred but not required
