Job Purpose: As a Certified Firefighter, you'll be at the forefront of fire suppression, emergency rescue, and other critical response efforts. Your role will involve responding to a variety of emergencies, from fires and traffic accidents to medical emergencies and hazardous materials incidents.

• Emergency Response:
  Responding to fire alarms, traffic accidents, medical emergencies, and other incidents as part of a dedicated fire and rescue team.
• Fire Suppression:
  Utilizing firefighting equipment to extinguish fires and protect life and property.
• Rescue Operations:
  Conducting search and rescue operations, including extracting individuals from burning buildings and administering emergency medical treatment.
• Hazardous Materials Management:
  Containing, controlling, and decontaminating hazardous materials spills in accordance with safety protocols.
• Community Engagement:
  Educating the community on fire safety and prevention through presentations and outreach efforts.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  Testing, maintaining, and operating firefighting vehicles, equipment, and tools to ensure readiness for emergency response.

Required Qualifications: To qualify for this role, you must have:

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training in firefighting.
• Experience:
  
  Two years of relevant experience in firefighting or a related field.
• Certifications:
  
  Valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia, National Fire Protection Association certification, and compliance with Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Act requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are desirable:

• Advanced Training:
  Additional certifications or training in emergency medical response, hazardous materials management, or technical rescue.

  Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Physical Fitness:
  Excellent physical condition, including strength, agility, and stamina.
