Animal Care (Farm / Farming, Agriculture, Poultry, Birds, Commercial)

£32,925 pa, plus Benefits, including 5% pension & 31 - 38 days’ holiday per year!

07.00am – 16.00pm (6 days per week, Mon-Sun)

Requirements:

* Driving licence & own transport

* Willingness & desire to provide excellent standards of care & welfare to animals (
* Formal training & qualifications provided!*)

* Previous livestock experience ideal, esp. birds / commercial poultry farm, but all careers & backgrounds are considered!

* Biosecure living conditions - no avian or porcine pets at home.

* NVQ/Diploma level 3 in poultry would be beneficial; however full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

* Complete feeding, vaccinating and grading of birds.

* Maintain biosecurity practices and optimum environmental conditions to ensure bird welfare.

* General site maintenance, keeping accurate records, and ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.

* Supporting the Farm Manager - supervising staff and third parties while on site, and covering duties when required.
