High Tide Consultants, LLC is seeking an experienced Survey Technician to support our survey and engineering teams. This role is integral to delivering accurate survey documents and supporting successful project execution. This position will be based in both the Thibodaux, LA area and Covington, LA.
Key Responsibilities:- Create detailed survey drawings, plats, and maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D or related software.
- Process field survey data to generate precise topographic and boundary maps.
- Familiar with creating surface models and contours of existing conditions
- Familiar with developing cross sections and calculating quantities
- Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to meet project specifications.
- Review and analyze legal descriptions, deeds, and survey field notes.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
- Mentor junior drafters or survey technicians when necessary.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land survey drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software (preferred).
- Proficiency in boundary, topographic, and construction surveying principles, including A.L.T.A. and commercial A.L.T.A. surveys with title review experience.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering plans, legal descriptions, and survey data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
