Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a QC Laboratory Technician for a specialty chemical company in North Houston, TX.
Essential Job Functions Include The Following- Analyze incoming raw materials, comparing results with supplier’s CoA to ascertain conformance against purchase specifications
- Analyze process samples and finished products for viscosity, moisture, acidity, density, flash point, color comparison, etc.
- Record all results in laboratory notebook and/or electronic files following the appropriate SOPs
- Prepare and standardize laboratory reagents according to written procedures
- Ensure that all analytical glassware is clean and defect‑free and that all equipment is calibrated and maintained as prescribed prior to use
- Maintain laboratory instruments including balances, viscometers, autotitrators, pH and conductivity meters, FTIR, flash point apparatus and microscopes
- Work with customer service and R&D to prepare samples for shipment to potential customers
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science
- A minimum of one year experience in an analytical laboratory or related process laboratory is preferred, but fresh graduates will be considered
- In lieu of degree, experience in a Quality Control environment is required
This is a temp to hire assignment with a Monday – Friday, 8am‑5pm work schedule. Pay rate is commensurate upon level of education and applicable experience. If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume for immediate consideration.
