Overview
First America Homes (FAH) is the homebuilding division for The Signorelli Company (TSC), a vertically integrated, diversified real estate company based in The Woodlands, TX. Established in 1994, TSC has experience in land development, commercial, mixed-use, office, medical, outdoor hospitality, multi-family and single-family development. FAH is currently one of the fastest growing privately held homebuilders in the State of Texas with presence across all four quadrants of the greater Houston area and growing.
The Contract and Closing Coordinator is the main point of contact for the sales team, purchasing department, mortgage lenders, title company, and construction team to ensure that the loan and construction processes are progressing to maintain the closing timeline.
Essential job responsibilities- Review preferred mortgage lender pre-opinion information for the borrower to help determine potential sale of new home; specifically, the buyer's credit score, income, and debt to income ratio and any other potential issues that may hinder the loan approval process.
- Ensure compliance with government and mortgage industry guidelines for different loan types.
- Approve, execute, and distribute new sales contracts to all necessary parties including borrowers, agents, lenders, and title companies.
- Ensure all closing documents, builder certifications, builder warranties, and closing summaries are prepared and sent to all parties involved including mortgage lenders, agents, and title company in a timely manner.
- Maintain all management reporting regarding production and closing date expectations.
- Approve final closing disclosures by ordering final surveys, communicating when appraisals are ordered and received, and confirming that all loan requirements are satisfied.
- Coordinate and schedule all closings with sales counselors, home buyers, mortgage lenders, and title company utilizing creative means if necessary.

- 2 years of relevant experience in home building.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, follow through, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
