At Black Walnut, we provide delicious food and outstanding handcrafted cocktails, with a guest ordering style that is considered fast casual. However, we aim to elevate the typical fast casual experience by delivering elevated hospitality surpassing our guests’ expectations. Our dining room team has two primary roles, and you will be trained to perform both roles.
The Cashier role is responsible for greeting our guests and taking their order at the counter. They welcome our guests, make them feel comfortable, offer specific suggestions, guide the guest’s experience, and leave a positive impression.
The Server role is to greet every guest in their assigned area of the restaurant, take ownership of the guest experience, food run, table maintenance, and saying goodbye to our guests. As a server at Black Walnut, you will perform every function of a server except for taking the guest's initial order.
In addition, you may also be trained and asked to work as a greeter, coffee bar, and/or expo.
