We are seeking an experienced golf course superintendent to continue our execution of excellence as the leader of our agronomy team at The Woodlands Country Club - Trails Courses. This position is under The Woodlands Country Club umbrella of five different golf courses, totaling 99 holes. The Trails Courses consist viste two 18‑hole golf courses – the West and the North – and this unique role oversees the management of both.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Manages, supervises, and orchestrates the golf course maintenance department day‑to‑day activities through maintaining quality standards, developing and retaining maintenance employees, and exceeding guest and member expectations while operating within financial parameters.
- Communicates daily with the General Manager and Golf Professionals regarding course conditions and playability; routinely updates membership on departmental improvements and upcoming practices.
- Promotes Arcis Golf’s philosophies to employees, members, and guests.
- Projects a professional image and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Directs, supervises, and manages the team of Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Technicians, Mechanics, and Agronomy team members.
- Reviews monthly preliminary and final profit/loss statements with General Manager and Regional Superintendent.
- Has experience and deep knowledge of irrigation systems, including programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, scheduling, moisture control, and pump station management; capable of calibration and operation of application equipment.
- Handles the Human Resources functions of the maintenance department, controlling turnover, motivating employees, focusing on development and retention, and conducting regular employee meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
A degree in Turf Management or a related field is required, along with supervisory experience and a minimum of five years of progressive golf course experience. A State Certified Pesticide License is mandatory. Special consideration will be given to those who have exhibited exemplary performance at premier golf facilities.

- Proven track‑record of exceptional planning and organizational ability of practices, procedures, and team building.
- Annual Salary: $120,000
