Our client is hiring for a senior-level Network Architect to lead and execute LAN/WAN network infrastructure projects. This role focuses on advanced network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and operational support, while mentoring junior team members.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Cisco VXLAN, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (DCNM), and Cisco SD-WAN, with hands-on experience leading major network initiatives and escalations. This individual thrives in autonomous environments, enjoys mentoring, and can manage complex projects without micromanagement.
This is a direct hire opportunity with hybrid work: 2 days onsite per week and remote for 3 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain all LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Provide advanced-level troubleshooting and support for all network circuits
- Lead multiple projects end-to-end, including core data center switch upgrades and major network initiatives
- Act as a technical escalation point for the team and resolve complex network issues
- Monitor network systems and optimize applications, tools, and hardware versions
- Collaborate with leadership to identify roadmap needs, upgrades, and resource requirements
- Participate in vendor evaluations, lab testing, and technology decision support
- Maintain high-quality documentation for core and edge networks, products, and services
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on projects and operational tasks
- Participate in on-call duties as needed
Experience & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in network/communications, including Cisco VXLAN, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (DCNM), and Cisco SD-WAN
- Hands-on expertise in LAN/WAN design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to guide junior team members
- Autonomous, self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills
- Familiarity with cloud/Azure, Miraki Wireless, Cisco DNA Center, and automation is a plus
