Job Summary / Purpose

This position ensures the stability and integrity of the data network environment. This is achieved by planning, designing, implementing, and operating the network environment and components across the organization.

Responsibilities /

Job Duties
  • Provide detailed network designs in support of business requests, including routing, switching, load balancer, DDI, Mesh Networking and wireless technologies in Data Center environments, corporate environments, Operational Technology environments, and Wide Area Networking solutions.
  • Develop implementation plans for simple and complex change requests.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links; perform analysis at physical, data plane, control plane, and higher‑order protocol layers for troubleshooting support.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Oversee and implement new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to stay abreast of industry developments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Coordinate with vendors, outsource rs, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Serve as the Data Network representative in a 24×7 on‑call rotation to resolve emergent issues in Corporate, OT, and Automated Metering / Distribution Automation network environments.
  • Work with Business and Project Management teams to review strategies and requirements, ensuring business and functional requirements are maintained throughout the development/configuration process and validating the delivered solution.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum Experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of solution design experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge/experience in Network Technologies, including protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, network management tools, packet capture, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Understanding of routing and switching technologies, as well as network security technologies (firewalls, IDS, IPS).
  • Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS‑IS) and other networking features – NAT, Access‑Lists, route re‑distribution, IP Multicast, VLANs, spanning tree, spine‑leaf architecture.
  • Priority given to previous networking experience maintaining NERC CIP.
  • Strong understanding of IP addressing design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet them.
  • Experience in financial management of project deliverables.
  • Experience as the technical lead for major implementation and/or network projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud networking and automation/scripting tools are a plus.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Design, implement, and manage DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions using Infoblox.
  • Maintain and optimize DDI infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DDI‑related issues.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and systems teams to integrate Infoblox with other infrastructure components.
  • Configure and manage DNS zones, DHCP scopes, and IPAM subnets within Infoblox.
  • Automate DDI tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Power Shell, Ansible) and Infoblox APIs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., data retention, logging, auditing).
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address anomalies or performance issues.
  • Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and change‑management activities.
