We’re searching for an Ultrasound Generalist RVS — someone who works well in a fast‑paced setting. In this position, you will integrate scientific knowledge; technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information, and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Confirms patient identity with approved identifiers.

Demonstrating age-appropriate care with all patients, appropriately prepares patients for procedures.

Verifies patient’s pregnancy and informed consent statuses.

Assess factors that may contraindicate the procedure; such as medication contraindications, patient risk for reaction to medications, patient history, laboratory results, insufficient patient preparation, or artifacts.

Based on order, determines the type and dose of contrast agent to be administered based on patient’s age, weight and medical/physical status.

Anticipates and responds to patients' needs throughout the entire encounter. Reach out to others as needed.

Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure to the patient, family, and others.

Performs routine, STAT, urgent, and on-call procedures while accurately demonstrating understanding of anatomy and pathology through proper imaging techniques.

Utilize information management systems in an appropriate manner. Adherence to HIPAA at all times.

Ensures the patient is imaged in a safe environment, free of hazards.

Seeks opportunities to assist in overall patient care activities, assists radiologists and others as requested or needed.

Incorporates HIPAA into all actions to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.

Other Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program required

BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association and RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Required within 18 months of entry into role)
and RDMS-AB - RDMS in Abdomen by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or RDMS-OB - Reg Diag Med Sonographer OBGYN by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or RDMS-PS - RDMS in Pedi Sonography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or S-ARRT - ARRT Reg Tech Sonography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography may substitute for the RVS
