Accounting & Finance, Financial Manager
Location: The Woodlands, TX | Reports to: President
Why Langmuir Systems?
We aren’t a typical manufacturing company. We are a fast-growing CNC technology firm that builds tools for creators and industrial innovators. We move fast, we’re tech-forward, and we need a Finance & Accounting Manager who treats the books like a high-performance machine.
The Role:
The Operational Heart of Finance
We are looking for a mid-career Manager of Finance and Accounting who is a true "player-coach." You won’t just be reviewing reports; you’ll be building them. Reporting directly to the President, you will own the day-to-day financial operations, ensure our inventory is tracked to the penny, and keep our vendor relationships (AP) seamless.
This is the perfect role for a high-performing Senior Accountant or a current Manager who wants total ownership and the chance to work directly with company leadership to drive efficiency.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Own the Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close process with speed and accuracy. No "black holes" in the data.
- Inventory & Costing: Dive into manufacturing cost variances. If a part costs more than it should, you’re the first to know and investigate why.
- The Daily Grind: Manage the full cycle of AP and AR. We need someone who ensures bills are paid on time and cash is collected efficiently.
- ERP Mastery: Use Epicor to its full potential to automate workflows and pull real-time data.
- Operational Partnership: Work closely with the President to provide the "financial scorecard" of the business. You’ll explain the why behind the numbers.
Who You Are:
- 5+ Years of Experience: You’ve spent time in the trenches of a manufacturing environment. You know how a Bill of Materials (BOM) affects the General Ledger.
- Epicor Experience: This is a major advantage. If not Epicor, you must be a "power user" of another major manufacturing ERP.
- A "Fixer" Mentality: You don't just report problems; you build the systems to solve them.
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required.
- Attention to Detail: You’re the type of person who catches a discrepancy before it becomes a problem.
Why You’ll Love It:
- Direct access to leadership. You report to the President and see the impact of your work daily.
- The chance to see a physical product go from raw material to a customer’s workshop.
- A seat at the table in a company that is actually growing and innovating.
