Position OverviewOur team is currently looking for a QA/QC Manager for one of our clients in the Industrial Gas Industry.
We are seeking a QA/QC Manager to oversee the Americas region with experience in industrial process gas plants particularly in ASU, LNG, and CO₂ type plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading quality assurance and quality control for engineered equipment provided for Sale of Equipment projects. This role owns the supplier quality program—ensuring specifications, codes, and owner standards are translated into robust inspection & test plans (ITPs), executed through supplier surveillance, FAT/SAT, and final documentation, resulting in right first-time delivery of compliant equipment.
The position partners closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain to prevent defects, manage risks, and protect schedule and cost.

- Own and govern the supplier QA/QC framework for engineered equipment (rotating, static, electrical, instrumentation, and packaged systems), ensuring alignment with ISO standards and internal Quality Management Systems
- Translate owner, regulatory, and design requirements into enforceable vendor quality requirements, including contract quality exhibits, Supplier Quality Plans, ITPs, CQCs, and inspection hold/witness points
- Qualify, audit, and monitor suppliers and sub-suppliers, assessing technical capability, special processes, personnel qualifications, calibration systems, and document control practices
- Plan and execute risk-based supplier surveillance, including shop visits, stage inspections, pre-inspection meetings, FAT/SAT oversight, and coordination of third-party inspection agencies
- Review, approve, and oversee execution of vendor quality documentation and ITPs, covering welding, NDE, coatings, heat treatment, electrical testing, performance testing, and preservation/packing activities
- Manage nonconformances, concessions, and waivers, leading root cause analysis and verifying effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
- Drive completion, acceptance, and turnover of Manufacturer’s Data Records (MDRs), data books, and turnover dossiers, ensuring full traceability and compliance
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (ASME, API, IEC, NEC, ATEX, NACE, AWS, ISO, PED/CE, CRN, OSHA, and AHJ requirements)
- Partner closely with Engineering, EPCs, owners, and supply chain teams to support interface management, punch list closure, and readiness for shipment and installation
- Establish and track supplier performance KPIs, lead lessons learned initiatives, and develop standardized procedures, templates, and training to drive continuous improvement and scalability
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials) or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
- 8+ years in QA/QC for engineered equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, switch gear/MCCs, transformers, packaged skids, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, instrumentation systems).
- Hands‑on experience with supplier quality, ITP development, welding/NDE oversight, FAT/SAT, and data book compilation.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and audit practices; strong understanding of API/ASME/IEC/UL/NEMA/NFPA codes.
- Demonstrated success leading NCR/RCCA and preventing recurrence (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone, FMEAs).
- Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, data sheets, and specifications.
