Overview
The MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Urology seeks Board Certified/Board eligible candidates for a full-time Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment based at the MDACC Woodlands campus. Surgical procedures could be performed in the Woodlands (a future buildout), Main Campus or Northwest Surgery Center. This position will focus on the full range of urologic oncology during both treatment and survivorship. Given the available resources at Northwest Surgery Center, robotic prostatectomy should be an area of focus, while complex procedures can be performed at the Texas Medical Center.
A qualified candidate should have completed a Fellowship in Urologic Oncology and be focused on providing excellent educational services to fellows, residents and students, while delivering state-of-the-art Urologic Oncology care. This role requires skillful management of urological oncology diagnoses, experience with tertiary level oncologic care and minimally invasive surgical expertise. Candidates will have mentorship/onboarding from TMC faculty and a proven track record of success from our previous Houston Area expansions.

Salary and Benefits: Target base salary of $405,390 to $499,721 and eligibility for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
ResponsibilitiesProvide Urologic Oncology care across treatment and survivorship, including educational responsibilities for fellows, residents and students. Focus on robotic prostatectomy at Northwest Surgery Center and perform complex procedures at the Texas Medical Center. Maintain skillful management of urological oncology diagnoses and contribute to a high level of tertiary oncologic care and minimally invasive surgical programs. Collaborate with MDTs and participate in ongoing clinical and translational education as part of a supportive academic environment.
Education- Advance Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an approved Medical School
- Fellowship - Successful Completion of a Fellowship in Urologic Oncology from an SUO Approved Fellowship Program
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the State of Texas
- Current CPR/BCLS or ACLS certification
- Board Certified in Urology or timely progression towards certification
