April 13, 2026, at 11:59 pm. Start date preferred for Spring Break Camp:
Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13, 2026. Mandatory Camp schedule is as follows:
Summer Camp Training – Monday, May 11 to Friday, May 22, 2026 and 1 additional Saturday in July (date TBD);
Summer Camp – Tuesday, May 26 to Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Summary of Duties:
Camp Supervisors are responsible for assisting the Recreation Program Coordinators with various tasks and duties listed below. Responsible for managing and supervising the daily operations of the camp program, to include activity planning, team training, and supervision of all camp participants, Head Camp Counselors, and Camp Counselors. Work is performed under general supervision with exercise of judgement in accordance with established policies, procedures, and techniques.

This position is a temporary seasonal position.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the camp program including but not limited to activity planning, team training, scheduling, and supervision of all camp participants, Head Camp Counselors, and Camp Counselors.
  • Acts as liaison between the Recreation Program Coordinator, program staff, participants, and parents.
  • Assist the Recreation Program Coordinators with high level day-to-day camp logistics.
  • Assist the Recreation Program Coordinators with check-in and check-out of campers.
  • Assist in planning and implementing daily camp activities, to include but not limited to games, supervising swimming, special events, arts and crafts, STEM, team building, and field trips.
  • Facilitate activities with campers ages 6 to 15, in an engaging manner with positive leadership.
  • Ensure daily activities and supplies are prepared each week.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly reminders for special camp activities such as field trips and financial notifications.
  • Act as a role model for children 6 to 15, as well as Camp Counselors and Head Camp Counselors by displaying appropriate behavior and creating a safe, inclusive environment for all campers and peers.
  • Maintain camper discipline as necessary, in an appropriate manner, to achieve camp objectives.
  • Monitor the use of recreation equipment and ensure it is used in accordance with its intended use; return equipment to storage in its original condition and organized.
  • Perform general cleaning duties including trash pickup, sweeping, mopping, and room disinfection.
  • Complete records and forms such as discipline reports, parent notifications, incident and first aid reports.
  • Respond to parent inquiries, comments, questions, and complaints in a timely manner via in-person, email, and/or phone.
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
  • Required to attend all orientation meetings and trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.
  • Benefits: 7 unpaid days off during the summer; referral bonus of $50 if you refer a new Camp Counselor (they must list your name on their application).
  • Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Knowledge: A variety of recreational and athletic activities; knowledge of basic arts and crafts skills; and knowledge of basic creative dramatic procedures. Knowledge of outdoor recreation practices and techniques for outdoor activities.
  • Skills: Effective communication with children, adults, and staff. Ability to swim 50 yards and tread water for 30 seconds.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Licenses And

    Certifications:

    Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and meet driver safety policy requirements. Ability to pass CPR and First Aid certification training (Test administered by the Township).
  • Safety: This position is safety-sensitive and subject to random drug testing.
