Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision to children while executing daily activities in an engaging manner, including games, swimming, special events, arts and crafts, and team building.
- Display appropriate behavior and create a safe, inclusive environment for all campers and staff.
- Check facilities and equipment; report any issues to the Head Camp Counselor.
- Ensure safe and proper use of group equipment and materials; return equipment to the storage area in its original condition and organize it appropriately.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including trash pickup, sweeping, mopping, and room disinfection.
- Complete incident and first‑aid reports and other required records and forms.
- Assist the Head Camp Counselor in responding to parent inquiries or comments.
- Enforce policies, procedures, and safety rules.
- Respond to and manage circumstances requiring first aid.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule.
- Attend all orientation meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. One Saturday in July.
Benefits- 7 unpaid days off during the summer.
- Referral bonus of $50 for each new Camp Counselor who applies and lists your name as the referrer.

Knowledge of- A variety of recreational and athletic activities.
- Basic arts and crafts skills.
- Basic creative dramatic procedures.
- Outdoor recreation practices and techniques when assigned to outdoor activities.
- Effective communication with children, adults, and other staff.
- Swimming 50 yards and treading water for 30 continuous seconds.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Three (3) months of related experience required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the driver safety policy.
- CPR and First Aid certification; training conducted by the Township.
This position is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing.
