Overview
The Woodlands, TX; 20 percent remote;
Long term ongoing
iSphere is partnering with a client in North Houston who needs a Senior Business Analyst that can comfortably own complexity, bring clarity to messy problem spaces, and elevate how requirements are defined and delivered.
This role is not about taking notes or just writing stories. You’ll own business domains that span multiple systems and teams, help shape solutions end to end, and raise the bar for how analysis gets done across the organization. You’ll be trusted to think holistically, challenge assumptions, and guide both business and delivery teams toward better outcomes.
You’ll also play a mentorship role, helping other analysts sharpen how they break down work, define acceptance criteria, and think through impacts beyond their immediate lane.
What this role looks like day to dayYou’ll own requirements across multiple systems and teams, managing ambiguity and complexity in a way that reduces delivery risk instead of creating it. You’ll define current and future state processes with real attention to controls, exceptions, and operational impact, not just the happy path.
You’ll work closely with product owners and project leaders to align business goals, roadmaps, and delivery sequencing. You’ll also think ahead about adoption, training impacts, and operational readiness so solutions land smoothly, not abruptly.
Testing matters here. You’ll help shape UAT strategy, support triage, and drive signoff for complex initiatives where the details truly matter.
What you’ll be accountable for delivering- Clear future state process models and supporting artifacts that people actually use.
- Cross system requirements with dependency mapping and traceability.
- Well defined non functional requirements covering things like performance, security, auditability, and data quality when needed.
- Visible improvement in requirement quality and analyst practices through coaching and standards adoption.
- Business leaders making domain level decisions.
- Product Owners aligning roadmaps and priorities.
- Engineering leaders balancing feasibility and sequencing.

- Confluence or SharePoint for requirements and documentation.
- Teams for workshops and collaboration.
- Visio or Lucidchart for process modeling.
- Excel for basic analysis and validation work.
- 3 to 8 plus years of Business Analyst experience with cross domain or cross system impact
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to bring clarity where things are ambiguous
- Confident facilitation and executive ready communication skills
- A proven track record of improving requirement quality and reducing rework
- Ability to work onsite in The Woodlands with partial remote flexibility
- CBAP or CCBA certification
- Experience in SaaS operations, onboarding, pricing, or workflow automation
- Experience leading or influencing hybrid or distributed analysis teams
This is a long term role with real ownership, real influence, and real expectations. iSphere works with clients who value adults that can think, communicate, and deliver. If that sounds like how you operate, this is worth a conversation.
