As a Sanitation Worker, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in The Villages, FL, you’ll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the city sanitation department. You’ll collect trash and garbage from city residents and commercial establishments onto a collection vehicle using discretion on an assigned shift. You’ll work on an assigned route as a member of a collection crew to pick up garbage and trash;
clean areas of collection; clean trucks and equipment; assist with preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) daily; and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well‑being of your team.
$31,100.00/yr – $44,440.00/yr

- Assist with preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) daily.
- Perform other duties as required to support the sanitation department.
- Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures and maintenance of equipment.
- Safe work practices and commitment to safety.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, squat and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role.
Physical Requirements
Safety is a core value s position will spend a substantial amount of time performing safety sensitive labor or services. The physical and environmental demands include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility, ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp and reach, repetitive hand movements, and exposure to loud noise, active machinery, high‑pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, chemical exposure and other hazards.
