You ll be a Facilities Maintenance Technician based in The Villages, FL, contributing to the delivery of our operations and maintenance services to help manufacturing clients continue to produce their critical products and innovate for continued improvement.
Responsibilities- Provide facilities maintenance and engineering support as part of Jacobs operations and maintenance services.
- Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components.
- Maintain equipment including HVAC, air compressors, pumps and plumbing, basic electrical and mechanical systems.
- Work with basic mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios) and apply concepts of algebra and geometry as needed to solve practical problems.
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines including Lock-out/Tag-out and HAZCOM; maintain calm and professional conduct when interacting with customers and subordinates.
- Possess a valid driver s license and be able to operate in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility/plant engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret various documents and communicate effectively;
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email) proficiency - Experience with equipment such as HVAC, air compressors, pumps, plumbing; basic electrical and mechanical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
- Ability to work under pressure and follow policies and procedures; understands business implications of decisions
- Experience with OSHA guidelines including Lock-out/Tag-out and HAZCOM
- Must have a valid driver s license and be able to drive to job sites
- Vocational Tech, Trades School or Military Occupational Specialty preferred

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $41,200.00 to $58,850.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
