The Audiovisual Supervisor for touring productions is responsible for the coordination and implementation of audiovisual systems and AV staff of The Sharon L Morse PAC. This includes operations, training, budgeting, maintenance, and general direction of the department.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities for this position include the following;

- Update, implement, and set standards in relation to documents pertaining to the operation of the audiovisual department at the PAC, including but not limited to inventories, plot, paperwork, operations manuals.
- Planning, coordinating, installing and striking of all audio, projection, backstage communication systems and video monitoring equipment as needed at the PAC.
- Lead installation, set up, and engineering of sound and video equipment, overseeing work of various staff and temporary workers within this department.
- Test, maintain, repair, inventory, and acquire appropriate audiovisual equipment.
- Work with Production Management and Booking Management to determine any audiovisual or backline rentals or purchases needed for individual shows.
- Advise on methods, processes, and equipment in support of artistic goals as well as develop and update long range plans for improvement and expansion of all audiovisual equipment.
- Work alongside other department within the PAC to assist in their needs as well as assisting with audiovisual needs, when necessary, at the Studio Theatre.
- Set and maintain standards regarding lighting equipment and consumables inventory, storage, installation, etc. including annual preventative maintenance for systems and equipment.
- Estimate costs and redline riders for upcoming shows and seasons of shows to enable the booking team to complete its work effectively and on time.
- Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with renters, promoters, and traveling talent and technicians.

- Orient renters to AV systems and safety considerations, technical characteristics, and other areas of concern.
- Stay on top of industry trends and developments to keep SLMPAC on the cutting edge of new AV technologies and techniques.
- Understand and participate in safety and risk management practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or six or more years’ experience in technical theatre, stagecraft, entertainment technology/design, or related field.
- 2-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Prompt and regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
- Proficient in the Yamaha CL/QL family of consoles
- Proficient in mixing monitors and/or front of house audio for bands and other touring acts
- Ability to communicate effectively in a Microsoft Office
