All About On DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via the myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.
When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required. Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm interest in working shifts you do not respond to our attempts at contact, your employment may be terminated.
If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are critical to your success in this role. After being offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.
Thereafter, the myTime mobile scheduling app is used to pick up shifts.

Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Able to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Guest Advocate, a typical day will include the following responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
- Engage with guests when they need assistance to solve their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and let them know you’re glad they chose Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Know the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed; be familiar with fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate and use them.
- Explain and demonstrate how to use Wallet and features in the Target App.
- Handle returns per policy, escalate to leaders as needed while following Target’s policies and procedures.
- Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policies.
