- Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
- Learn about products using company tools and provide information to customers to support sales of entire projects.
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close with customers in the department; understand basics in adjacent departments.
- Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
- Follow all safety policies and standards; complete safety training; immediately correct hazards or report conditions.
- Work in cooperation with the Department Supervisor, other associates in the department, and other departments.
- Support potential store departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.
- Roles may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
