Shipping​/Receiving Clerk Union; TX Night Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Prepare and separate all shipping documents.
• Prepare and separate selection labels and distribute work assignments for selection.
• Maintains delivery monitors to ensure inbound and/or outbound shipments are processed timely and accurately.
• Record and file all shipping and receiving documents.
• Schedule all outbound carriers.
• Coordinate with Purchasing Department to expedite needed shipments and to resolve PO or item discrepancies.
• Schedule all inbound receiving appointments.
• Prepare, separate, and distribute all receiving labels and paperwork.
• Sort and process all UPS receiving.
• File transportation paperwork from previous day and check all EDC invoices.
• Investigates delivery exceptions/discrepancies for customer service and credit departments.
• Coordinate transportation for all customer returns and refusals.
• Audit and maintain returns database on a daily basis.
• Research all transportation expenses to ensure deliveries or returns were completed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Must have attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to operate a PC and learn the WMS software.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

• An Associate’s degree and at least one year of distribution experience in warehousing or transportation highly preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
