JOB SUMMARY
Receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDrive/Operate forklift and electronic pallet jack to:
- Pick merchandise from slots
- Load merchandise into trucks
- Drop merchandise from "reserve" to "pick" slots
- Prepare "Via" merchandise for shipment on freight lines
- Repack loose merchandise
- Perform housekeeping duties as assigned
- All above duties require the ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, bending, stooping, climbing, standing and twisting for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 70-100 lbs. occasionally.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- High School diploma from an accredited institution or GED equivalent
- Ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
