Summary

Cigars International is seeking a dynamic and driven Bar Manager with extensive experience in the hospitality industry. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for motivating and training employees, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your duties will include managing inventory, coordinating promotional events, upholding quality, and safety standards, maintaining licenses, budgeting, and strategizing to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction.

What can you expect as a Bar Manager with Cigars International?
  • Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including maintaining liquor license and RAMP/TIPS certifications, negotiating supplier contracts, conducting inventory cycle counts, managing budgets, and monitoring bar margins and profitability.
  • Recruit and train staff to deliver outstanding service to patrons.
  • Create and manage employee schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak hours.
  • Enforce quality and safety controls.
  • Collaborate with the CI events team to plan and execute promotional events.
  • Mediate and defuse tense situations to prevent safety or legal issues.
  • Foster a culture of accountability to company standard operating procedures.
  • Implement and maintain quality and safety controls.
  • Analyze data to develop strategic action plans.
  • Develop innovative and unique menu features.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into operations.
  • Lead the bar staff in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders for the company.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role)
  • 5+ years of prior experience in bar management or hospitality.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Strong decision‑making and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Availability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Understanding of business management and accounting principles.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
  • Ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary.
  • Walking and standing.
  • Requires moving around the store to assist customers.
  • Identifying and reading reports.
