Overview

Hawaiian Waters is seeking a dynamic and organized Seasonal Human Resources Assistant to support our HR Manager during the busy hiring season and throughout the summer. This role focuses on recruiting, scheduling interviews, coordinating job fairs, and assisting with employee events during the operational season. The ideal candidate would be able to travel between Garland and The Colony locations with the majority of the time spent at The Colony.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with hiring manager to identify seasonal staffing needs.
  • Screen applications and schedule interviews for prospective candidates.
  • Assist with reviewing online interviews and conduct in person interviews as needed.
  • Track hiring progress and maintain candidate records in compliance with company policies.
  • Represent the waterpark at local job fairs, engaging with potential candidates.
  • Attend job fairs in various parts of the area in and around The Colony and Garland
  • Support the onboarding process by following up with employees through various communication methods to ensure efficient completion from candidates.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed and filed accurately.
  • Assist in planning and executing employee events such as appreciation days and team-building activities.
  • Provide administrative support for routine HR duties, including record-keeping and employee inquiries.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management for general HR-related concerns.
  • And all other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, recruitment, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends during the peak season.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Light lifting may be required for setting up events or materials up to 25 pounds

Pay Range : $14.00/hr up to $15.00 per hour

Employment Type: Seasonal

Schedule: February – June (Peak Season: 20 – 40 hours per week), July – August (Reduced

Hours:

15-30 hours per week)
