Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on Technical Support Technician to join their team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring customers receive exceptional service through efficient returns handling, accurate diagnostics, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the complete returns workflow, from inspecting items to confirming warranty validity and arranging replacements.
Handle enquiries from customers about spare parts and organise the dispatch of required components.
Investigate issues on returned products to determine underlying faults.
Carry out hands‑on repairs, including replacing and cleaning components.
Prepare repaired or replaced items for shipment, including managing heavier units.
Use your judgement to assess warranty claims and communicate final decisions to customers.
Speak directly with customers to understand their problems and guide them through troubleshooting steps.
Keep clients updated throughout the process, ensuring every case is brought to a full resolution.
Requirements
Previous experience in returns, logistics, or technical repair environments, ideally combined with customer service skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude or experience with delicate/manual repair work (hobbies such as electronics, modelling, or similar are advantageous).
Good computer literacy.
Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently once trained.
