Technician – Motor Vehicle

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group (TWFCG) is looking for a full‑time, permanent Technician – Motor Vehicle to join our team at the Berkshire College of Agriculture campus in Maidenhead.

Job Overview

This role involves working 37 hours per week on an all‑year‑round support contract at our Berkshire College of Agriculture Campus and pays on Scale G of the Support Staff Scale (G,098.00 up to G,784.00). The primary aim is to provide an exceptional student experience by ensuring a safe and effective practical teaching and learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learning through demonstrations, instruction, and supervision.
  • Assist in student induction and help lecturing staff with practical demonstrations and instructions.
  • Prepare equipment and materials for lessons and maintain organised practical learning areas.
  • Participate in events such as parents’ evenings, recruitment days, trade events and open days, contributing to the college’s marketing efforts.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment, including adherence to safe working practices, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the maintenance and servicing of all equipment and machinery.
  • Manage supplies, parts and consumables and keep practical learning areas clean.
  • Promote a discrimination‑free atmosphere where students and staff can express individuality safely.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Level 2 English and maths.
  • Experience working in a workshop‑based environment.
