Job DescriptionA well‑resourced secondary school is recruiting a Science Technician / Science Support professional to provide practical and classroom support within the Science department.
This role is particularly suited to candidates with a science background who are working towards QTS and are interested in progressing into a Science teaching role in the future.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and organise science practicals
- Support teachers during laboratory‑based lessons
- Maintain equipment and ensure lab safety standards
- Assist with classroom activities where required
- Science graduate or experienced science support staff
- Interest in progressing into teaching
- Strong understanding of health and safety
- Organised and proactive approach
- Long‑term, stable role
- Supportive department with strong leadership
- Exposure to classroom teaching and curriculum delivery
- Clear pathway towards teacher training and development
