Adecco are recruiting for a Yard & Customer Support to join their clients team in Thatcham.

You will play a key role in generating hire and sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are clearly understood, accurately processed, and successfully delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Handle incoming enquiries and instructions from new and existing customers via phone and email
Provide customers with guidance and information on suitable plant and equipment available for hire or purchase
Support yard operations when required
Liaise with internal Plant and Purchasing teams to obtain technical details and pricing for non-standard requests
Negotiate hire rates, standard sale prices, and bespoke pricing where required
Discuss customer requirements and prepare quotations using internal systems, ensuring all quotations are followed up thoroughly
Process hire and sales orders, including off-hires
Confirm delivered hire and sales equipment against contracts
Manage off-hire requests and generate collection notes
Check returned equipment for loss, damage, or cleaning requirements
Verify written customer orders against contract terms
Record detailed information on lost hire or sales opportunities, including competitor activity and pricing
Carry out follow-up calls to confirm customer satisfaction with delivered equipment and service levels
Investigate invoice-related queries as required
Complete customer complaint documentation when necessary and manage the process through to resolution
Maintain full contract administration and filing
Assist with plant checks and examinations as needed

Skills & Experience Required

At least 1 year of sales experience preferably within Construction or a similar industry (Preferred but not essential)
Strong customer service experience
Highly organised with good attention to detail
