Role Overview

The Associate - Driver Development will be responsible for leading and managing the driver sourcing,onboarding, training, and engagement function. This is a people leadership role, focused on driving team performance, process excellence, and sourcing outcomes.

The role requires the ability to guide, mentor, and monitor the driver development team, ensure achievement of sourcing targets, maintain compliance, and build a strong driver culture aligned with Cityflo's service standards. The Lead will own daily reporting, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives, and act as the primary point of escalation for driver-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance

Lead, mentor, and supervise the driver sourcing and onboarding team to achieve defined sourcing goals.
Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets and monitor team productivity and effectiveness.
Review team performance regularly and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective actions where required.

Driver Sourcing & Onboarding Oversight

Oversee end-to-end driver sourcing and onboarding processes, ensuring quality and timely closures.
Step in to support calls or onboarding activities when required, but primarily focus on team direction and oversight.
Ensure smooth scheduling of driving tests and onboarding sessions.

Reporting & Process Management

Own daily reporting on driver sourcing, onboarding status, and pipeline health.
Maintain accurate data, MIS, and compliance documentation.
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scale.

Insurance, Welfare & Compliance

Oversee driver insurance additions/deletions and support claim settlements.
Ensure compliance with documentation, statutory, and internal policy requirements.

Training, Performance & Counselling

Plan and oversee driver training programs (soft skills, rash driving prevention, BS6, safety standards, etc.).
Handle escalations related to driver behaviour, complaints, and performance issues through counselling and corrective action plans.

Driver Engagement & Culture

Drive initiatives to foster a positive and respectful driver culture.
Plan hub meetings, engagement activities, and welfare initiatives (meals, gifts, water supply, vendor coordination).
Act as the voice of drivers by collecting feedback and collaborating with internal teams for resolution.

Skills & Competencies

Strong people management and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and counselling abilities (Hindi, Marathi, English preferred).
Analytical mindset with the ability to track performance, interpret data, and drive results.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, solution-oriented approach to driver welfare and team effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate in any discipline.
3–6 years of experience in driver onboarding, operations, logistics, or people management roles.
Prior experience leading or mentoring teams is mandatory.
Experience in driver sourcing, hiring, or engagement will be an added advantage.
