Retail Planner

The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the inventory and retail budgets (Open To Buy (OTB), densities, inventory health, and sell-through, Gross Margin Return On Inventory Investment (GMROII)) to ensure stock deliveries to the stores as per approved capacity plans and store profile to achieve sales objectives.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing effective brand/category planning and in season management of assortments and inventory level.

The role holder will need to determine high-level financial goals including pre-season financial plans, in-season projections, open-to-buy management and new store budgets.
Analyze, monitor merchandise planning and communicate the strategic plan to the buying team for necessary execution thereby ensuring effective in-season management across stores/areas (stock balancing, markdown management, stock analysis, stock vs sales performance).

Develop and Review the merchandise plans on a periodic basis.
Ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained for each brand/category, keeping in mind store requirements as well as working capital constraints.
The incumbent needs to ensure no instances of stock outs or excess inventory occur on account of any discrepancy on part of planning. Manages and updates replenishment parameters.

Track and map competitor activities, market trends and forecasts.
The incumbent will need to build good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and lead the team to meet the set objectives.
The incumbent will need to travel to location PAN India for visits to stores, Warehouse and Vendor sites.
