Role Summary
The Manager OR Assistant Manager Legal AND Secretarial will be responsible for managing the organisation’s end to end legal, corporate secretarial, compliance, litigation, and intellectual property matters . The role requires a Law graduate who is preferably a Company Secretary as well , with hands on experience across commercial and corporate legal functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracting AND Legal Documentation
Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial, employment, consultancy, NDA, licensing, and intercompany agreements
Managing contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, and compliance tracking. Identifying legal risks and suggesting practical mitigation measures
Litigation AND Dispute Management
Managing litigation, arbitrations, consumer disputes, and legal proceedings
Coordinating with external counsels and maintaining case documentation
Preparing responses to legal notices, complaints, and regulatory communications
Maintaining litigation trackers and exposure summaries
Legal AND Regulatory Compliance
Handling compliance under applicable corporate, commercial, and consumer laws
Drafting and responding to compliance notices, show-cause notices, and inquiries
Supporting internal audits, legal reviews, and due diligence exercises
Corporate Secretarial AND Governance
Managing company secretarial compliances under the Companies Act
Filing statutory returns and maintaining corporate records and registers
Advising management on governance and compliance best practices
Intellectual Property
Managing trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents
Coordinating filings, renewals, oppositions, and enforcement actions
Handling IP licensing, assignments, and infringement matters
Qualifications AND Experience
Qualified Company Secretary CS Preferable LL.B. OR Law Graduate Mandatory
4 to 8 years of relevant legal and secretarial experience
Prior inhouse experience preferred, law firm experience with corporate exposure acceptable
Key Skills
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Sound understanding of corporate, commercial, and IP laws
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Detail oriented, organised, and commercially pragmatic
